Learning to find and use information
An essential aspect of academic support for all students is provided by the library team: knowing how to use information resources supports not only your current studies, but also your personal and professional development and employability.
Inductions at the beginning of your course introduce the Library and the Academic Support Librarian relevant to your subject. Further sessions delivered by your Academic Support Librarian develop your ability to use the library and to find and use information effectively so that you can find what you need and manage research. Sessions are designed to match your level of study and are arranged with your course team to ensure they are relevant and timely.
There are special collections across the Colleges, and there is a University Archives and Special Collections Centre based at the Elephant and Castle (LCC). You may be introduced to collections through your course projects or in Academic Support worskhops.
